Action Research 2019-20

Implementation of a Competitive, Group-based, Starter Activity within GCSE Maths Resit Classes.

Six Further Education colleges in Lancashire took part in this research.

Across a 6 week period teachers used one starter activity per week.

Students completed a questionnaire before and after the 6 weeks.

Teachers did the same.

Results show the activities had a positive impact on student-teacher relationships, and communication within the classroom.
