What Impact do Interventions, Based on the VESPA Mindset Model, have on GCSE Maths Resit Rtudents?
This research used the Oakes and Griffin’s VESPA Mindset model.
This research took place at Runshaw College.
Teachers used VESPA Mindset tools within the GCSE Maths resit Scheme of Work.
1-2-1 coaching sessions, with individual learners, were also implemented.
Students completed an initial questionnaire.
This gave them target areas for development.
It also helped select tools for the Scheme of Work and coaching sessions.
Results showed that interventions had a positive influence on all aspects of student mindset.
